Network Analyst

Location: Sullivan, IL

Reports to: Network Assurance Manager

Position Overview:

​

Seeking Network Analysts of all levels to implement, maintain, and support a growing Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) broadband network. In this role, the candidate should have fundamental network troubleshooting abilities in a Network Operations Center (NOC) and help-desk environment. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of network LAN/WAN administration and architecture, in addition to an understanding of VOIP, WiFi, PON, and fiber optics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

​

· Support escalated customer trouble tickets from Customer Service Department

· Configure, deploy, and test new Calix PON equipment

· Monitor network performance and integrity

· Resolve customer and network trouble either by direct troubleshooting, working with internal technicians and/or customers when necessary

· Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

· Mentor technical and non-technical team members on technical issues

· Effectively communicate trouble/resolutions with Network Engineering

· Create, share and maintain technical documentation, MOPS, and network diagrams as needed

· Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

Qualifications:

​

· Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer, Administrator, or Analyst

· Professional certifications or demonstrable equivalency via experience

· Have an understanding of fiber optics and copper (CAT5/6) mediums

· Organizational and mentoring skills

· Ability to work independently

· Sharp troubleshooting skills​​​

- Associates/bachelor's in computer science, Engineering, or related field
