Billing Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, and working closely with internal teams and customers to resolve billing issues. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Resolve billing discrepancies by working with customers and internal departments.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and billing standards.

• Process adjustments, credits, and refunds as needed.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and close month-end billing.

• Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide high-quality customer service.

• Maintain accurate billing records and update customer accounts in the system.

• Prepare billing reports for management as required.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in billing software and MS Office, especially Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
