Procurement Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support the procurement process by sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient inventory control. This role is essential in acquiring goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner while adhering to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

​

Sourcing Suppliers:
  • Research and identify potential suppliers/vendors.

  • Obtain price quotations and negotiate terms.

  • Maintain an up-to-date supplier database.

 
Purchase Order Management:
  • Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders.

  • Track order status to ensure timely delivery.

 
Vendor Communication:
  • Resolve order discrepancies and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers.

  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors.

 
Inventory Control:
  • Monitor and update inventory levels.

  • Assist in stock counts and reconciliation.

  • Coordinate with departments to manage surplus or obsolete inventory.

 
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate procurement records.

  • Organize procurement documents for easy retrieval.

  • Prepare reports as needed.

 
Compliance & Cost Control:
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

  • Assist in cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management (preferred).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (preferred).

 

Benefits:

- Entry-Level (0-2 years of experience): $40,000 - $45,000 per year

- Mid-Level (2-5 years of experience): $45,000 - $50,000 per year
